Welcome to Remode

Remode helps you discover fashion items by snapping a photo. These terms explain how it works, what's included in each plan, and what we expect from users.

By using Remode, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.


Who Runs Remode

Remode is owned and operated by:

What Remode Does

The Service

  • Upload a photo → We use AI to analyze what you're looking for
  • Get product matches → We search fashion retailers for similar items
  • Browse and shop → We show you where to buy (we don't sell directly)

What's Not Included

  • We don't guarantee exact matches (fashion inventory changes constantly)
  • We're not responsible for retailer prices, stock, or shipping
  • Some products may be unavailable or region-specific

Pricing & Plans

Free Plan

  • 3 total searches, then you need to upgrade
  • Full access to all product results

Pro Plan ($9.99/month)

  • 600 searches per month (resets monthly)
  • Designed for ~20 searches/day
  • If you exceed 30 searches/day, we may add a brief queue (~2 min)
  • Cancel anytime—no refunds for partial months

One-Time Credit Packs

  • Essential Pack: 15 searches for $1.99
  • Curator Pack: 30 searches for $2.99
  • Top-Up for Pro: +150 searches for $1.99
  • Credits never expire, Pro top-ups reset monthly

All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We follow their refund policies.


Usage Rules

Personal Use Only

Remode is for individual, non-commercial use. You can't:

  • ❌ Use bots, scrapers, or automation tools
  • ❌ Share your account with multiple people
  • ❌ Resell or commercialize search results
  • ❌ Reverse-engineer our AI or algorithms

Fair Use

If we detect abuse (excessive automation, account sharing, etc.), we may:

  1. First time: Warning + temporary soft-throttle
  2. Repeated abuse: Suspend searches until next billing cycle
  3. Severe abuse: Permanent account termination (with refund for unused time)

Your Account

Your Responsibilities

  • Keep your password secure
  • Don't share your account
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account

We Can Suspend Your Account If:

  • You violate these terms
  • We detect fraudulent activity
  • Required by law

If we suspend you, we'll email you with the reason and appeal process.


Intellectual Property

What You Own

  • Your photos: You retain all rights. We only use them to provide search results.
  • Your data: You can export or delete anytime.

What We Own

  • Remode's name, logo, design, and code
  • Our AI models and algorithms
  • Product descriptions and curated results

You can't copy, modify, or redistribute any part of Remode without permission.


AI Training & Your Photos

By Default:

Your uploaded photos may be used to improve our AI models (better fashion recognition, more accurate results).

You Can Opt Out:

  • Go to Settings → Privacy → AI Training and toggle it off
  • If opted out, we delete your photos immediately after search completion
  • Opting out doesn't affect search quality

We never share your photos with third parties (except our secure cloud storage provider).


Disclaimers

Search Results

  • We show products from third-party retailers (we're not endorsing any specific store)
  • Prices, availability, and quality are the retailer's responsibility
  • We don't process orders or handle returns

Accuracy

  • Our AI does its best, but fashion matching isn't perfect
  • Colors, materials, and styles may vary from your photo
  • We're constantly improving, but can't guarantee exact matches

"As-Is" Service

Remode is provided "as is" without warranties. We don't guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted service (we'll try our best!)
  • Error-free results
  • Availability in all countries

Liability Limits

We're not liable for:

  • Purchases you make from retailers
  • Incorrect product matches or descriptions
  • Service downtime or technical issues
  • Lost data (though we back up regularly)

Maximum liability: If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months (e.g., one Pro subscription).

This doesn't affect your legal rights under Swiss or EU consumer protection laws.


Cancellations & Refunds

Pro Subscription

  • Cancel anytime in App Store/Google Play settings
  • Access continues until end of billing period
  • No refunds for partial months (App Store/Google Play policy)

Credit Packs

  • Non-refundable once purchased (credits never expire)
  • Exception: If we suspend your account unfairly, we'll refund unused credits

If You Delete Your Account

  • Your subscription continues until the end of the billing period
  • Unused credits are forfeited
  • Cancel subscription separately if you want to stop recurring payments

Changes to These Terms

We'll notify you of major changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.


Termination

You Can Leave Anytime

Delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account. All your data will be deleted within 30 days.

We Can Terminate Your Account If:

  • You violate these terms repeatedly
  • We detect fraud or abuse
  • Required by law or regulatory order

If we terminate, we'll refund any unused Pro subscription time (pro-rated).


Disputes & Legal

Governing Law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Disputes will be resolved in Bern, Switzerland.

For EU Users

You have the right to use EU consumer protection laws and your local courts.

For US Users

We don't require arbitration—you can go to small claims court.
