In one sentence
Remode is a buyer-side fashion search app from Bern, Switzerland: photograph or screenshot any outfit, and it finds every piece, compares prices across stores and second-hand, labels each result honestly as exact, best visual match or similar, and keeps hunting saved pieces for price drops and restocks.
Boilerplate (about 110 words)
Remode is a buyer-side fashion agent for iPhone. From a photo, a screenshot or a video frame, it detects every fashion piece in the image, lets the shopper pick one, and searches stores that ship to their region. Results are labeled as exact, best visual match or similar, so nobody mistakes a look-alike for the real item, and second-hand listings appear next to new retail when found. Remode keeps hunting saved pieces in the background for price drops, second-hand options and restocks. Ranking is never influenced by commercial terms. Remode is free to download, offers a free daily allowance with an account, and a Remode Hunt plan for people who screenshot every day. It is built in Bern, Switzerland by founder Farshid Abdi.

What is different about it
Honest labels instead of look-alikes
Every result says what it is: exact, best visual match or similar. When Remode is not sure it is the same product, it says so rather than pretending. The rule inside the company is short: if we're not sure, we don't pretend.
Ranked for the buyer, never for the payout
Remode can recommend a retailer, a second-hand listing, waiting for a price drop, or not buying at all. Commercial terms never touch ranking, and that is stated publicly on the site and in the terms.
It keeps working after you close it
Save a piece and Remode can hunt for price drops, second-hand options and restocks in the background. Looking is free until Remode finds you something real, and hunting does not count against the search allowance.
We publish how we test the product on real photos, with denominators and dates: How we test.
Colette & Carrie
Remode’s website and iPhone app chat star Colette and Carrie, two stylists and close friends who find it new and second-hand. They are drawn in a bande dessinée style; they do not have real bodies, schedules or social media accounts.
Colette
A French fashion designer with a working life around Paris, New York, Milano and Berlin fashion weeks. In Remode she searches for new retail listings. Authority without announcing it; dry wit; no glasses in the artwork.
Carrie
A fashion design student from Berlin on a student budget. She met Colette backstage at Berlin Fashion Week—Colette took her under her wing and a friendship grew from there. In Remode she searches second-hand listings; for her that is expertise, never a consolation prize.
They are close friends: Colette took Carrie under her wing at Berlin Fashion Week. The listings they show come from real shops. Origin story on the site: How we met.
